About Me

My name is Toni, I am the Doula responsible for Harmonious Birth.  I have three children and I live in Birmingham.  I am currently training with the NCT to become an Antenatal Teacher. I hold a certificate in counselling skills and as part of both my Doula and Student Antenatal teacher role, I attend regular training to update my knowledge base. I have personal experience of hospital birth, gestational diabetes and induction. I have a thorough understanding of medical interventions and how best to try to avoid them.

I am registered with Doula UK as a trainee birth and postnatal doula. I have completed my Doula training with Developing Doulas. Developing Doulas is a Doula UK approved course that can be found on the Doula UK recommended course listings.

I am very passionate about childbirth.  I decided to become a Doula after my third child was born so that I could help parents make informed decisions on their choice of birth.  I believe that birth is a natural part of life but I respect parents autonomy to choose the mode of birth that is right for them and I shall do all I can to aid them in the decision making process.
